The Root of David, Christ Ahnsahnghong

Many people believe when Jesus comes a second time, it will be the last judgment.

However, does the Bible teach that? The Bible prophesies Jesus will come a second time to bring salvation (Hebrews 9:28) and after will be the last judgement. When He comes a second time, Jesus will use a new name (Revelations 3:12; 2:17). He will also come in the clouds which is a parable meaning coming in the flesh (Luke 21:24; Jude 1:12; Proverbs 25:14).

Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ who already came. Let us understand why He is the Second Coming Jesus through the prophecy of the Root of David.

The Bible was Sealed

Revelations 5:1-5 Then I saw in the right hand of him who sat on the throne a scroll with writing on both sides and sealed with seven seals. And I saw a mighty angel proclaiming in a loud voice, “Who is worthy to break the seals and open the scroll?” But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth could open the scroll or even look inside it. I wept and wept because no one was found who was worthy to open the scroll or look inside. Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and its seven seals.”

The book of Revelations was completed about 70 years after Jesus died. In Revelations 5:1-5, it testifies that the scroll (Bible) was sealed and no one could open it. As the Bible was sealed, no one could understand the way to receive salvation testified in the Bible. This is why the Apostle John who saved souls all his life was weeping. If no one can understand the Bible, how can they be saved? In such an unfortunate situation unless the Bible is unsealed, people would be living without hope for heaven.

Nevertheless, the above scripture says that the ‘Root of David’ was able to open the scroll. Then, who is the Root of David and what truths did he unseal?

Before this is explored, let us understand how the Bible became sealed in the first place. As well as what truths the Root of David must bring to unseal the Bible. Through this, we can have faith and confidence in the One who comes as the Root of David.

From now on, let us understand the prophesies of the Bible becoming sealed after Jesus’ and the Apostles’ passing.

Lawlessness and God’s Law being changed

It is testified in the book of Daniel that God’s set times and laws (or sacred festivals) would be changed. God’s festivals include; the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles. Even though they are listed as three, there are actually seven festivals. Namely; Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Resurrection Day, Day of Pentecost, Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement and Feast of Tabernacles. They are also known as the seven feasts in three times (Leviticus 23:1-44).

Daniel 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws…

Daniel 7:25 [NLT] He will defy the Most High and oppress the holy people of the Most High. He will try to change their sacred festivals and laws, and they will be placed under his control for a time, times, and half a time.

Furthermore, not only in the Book of Daniel, but Jesus Himself testified that lawlessness would be sown.

Matthew 13:24-25, 37-38 Jesus told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away… He answered, “The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, and the good seed stands for the people of the kingdom…

Indeed, even during the time of Apostle Paul, already lawlessness was at work. In Corinth, the women contested wearing veils hence why Apostle Paul sent a letter to the church in Corinth emphasizing veil regulation (1 Corinthians 11:1-16).

Sabbath and Passover was Abolished

Sabbath is the seventh day of the week which God commanded us to keep as a worship day (Exodus 20:8).

However, from around AD 100 the churches in the West centering on Rome accepted and began to keep worship on Sunday. They forsook the Sabbath Jesus taught and the Apostles kept (Luke 4:16; Acts 17:2). Concurrently, in 321 AD, the Sabbath was utterly abolished. Sunday was proclaimed as an official day of rest and of worship by The Roman Emperor Constantine.

“All judges, city-people and craftsmen shall rest on the venerable day of the sun.” – Constantine’s Edit, The History of Christianity.

Therefore, Sunday worship which was not taught by Jesus was kept in the churches as a custom and became tradition. The Sabbath which contains God’s love and blessings was forgotten, being buried in history.

Furthermore, another festival God taught us to keep was the Passover. It was celebrated by Jesus Himself as well as the Apostles (Matthew 26:17-28; 1 Corinthians 5:7-8, 11:23-26). It is to be celebrated at twilight on the 14th Day of the 1st month according to the sacred calendar (Leviticus 23:4-5). The Eastern churches were keeping the Passover according to this biblical teaching.

However, the Western churches had a custom of celebrating the Holy Supper on the Resurrection Day.

The fact that the Eastern and the Western Churches celebrated the Passover on different dates, stirred controversy. AD 155 and 197 marked two occasions where the Eastern and the Western churches debated the date to celebrate the Passover.

However, it wasn’t until AD 325 at the Council of Nicaea when the Passover was finally abolished. All those who kept the Passover had to keep their faith in huts, deserts and caves (History of the Early Church to A.D. 500).

Furthermore, as the Passover was abolished the remaining feasts of God (Leviticus 23:1-44) were also naturally abolished. Evidently, this is because the dates to celebrate the feasts of God are calculated based off the Passover day.

Therefore, since AD 325 the precious truth of the feasts of God which contain God’s blessings were sealed. Lawlessness entered into the church and no one could discern truth from falsehood anymore when lawlessness was prevalent.

Hence why in Revelations 5:1-5 it testifies that ‘no one could open the scroll’. Indeed, no one in heaven or on earth could restore the truth. Even despite the 16th century reformation, it failed to restore the truth of the new covenant. This was because the Bible testifies that there is only One who could open the scroll, and this was the Root of David.

The Root of David

The Root of David is testified to have triumphed and open the scroll (Revelations 5:1-5). In other words, He is able to open the way of salvation that was sealed. That is why the Bible testifies people would seek David in this age for salvation.

Hosea 3:5 Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

Ezekiel 37:24-25 “‘My servant David will be king over them, and they will all have one shepherd. They will follow my laws and be careful to keep my decrees. They will live in the land I gave to my servant Jacob, the land where your ancestors lived. They and their children and their children’s children will live there forever, and David my servant will be their prince forever.

The blessings referred to in Hosea 3:5 indicates salvation. Therefore, salvation is dependent on whether or not David is sought.

The book of Ezekiel too, testifies David would come and shepherd his sheep.

However, who is David that is testified in these verses? David was the 2nd King of Israel who ruled for 40 years. However, the books of Hosea and Ezekiel were written well after King David died. So surely, the prophecy is not referring to David who was the 2nd King of Israel. It must be referring to a spiritual David.

Thus, it is a very important matter to find out who is this Spiritual David that will come as a matter of our salvation.

Revelations 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”

It is testified in the above verse that Jesus is the Root of David.

However, is this the 1st Coming Jesus or the Second Coming Jesus that is the Root of David? It is actually the Second Coming Jesus. This is because the truths Jesus shared 2,000 years ago became sealed.

Therefore, Jesus has to come again to unseal the Bible which became sealed after his first coming. What is the way to recognize the Second Coming Jesus, what sign must He bring?

Passover, The Sign of The Root of David

The Bible testifies a sure way to be able to recognize the Root of David. Through this, we can identify who the Second Coming Christ is.

Isaiah 55:3 Give ear and come to me; listen, that you may live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you, my faithful love promised to David.

In the above scripture, it is written that the everlasting covenant is promised to David. Meaning that David alone, is in possession of the everlasting covenant. The everlasting covenant is the sign of The Root of David.

Then, what is the everlasting covenant in the Bible?

Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep…

It is written in the above verse the ‘eternal covenant’ which is the same as the ‘everlasting covenant’. However, in Hebrews 13:20 it details ‘through the blood of the eternal covenant’. Therefore as it written ‘through the blood’, surely the eternal covenant must be established with blood. More specifically, the eternal covenant is established with Jesus’ blood. The covenant established by the blood of Jesus is the Passover.

Matthew 26:17-19, 26-28 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover…While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus established the covenant with His blood on the Passover. Therefore, the covenant Jesus established with His blood, is the Passover. And in the book of Luke, this covenant is called the New Covenant

Luke 22:20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Therefore, the sign that the Root of David must bring to testify to His identity is the Passover of the New Covenant.

No religious leader, Biblicist, scholar or pastor has been able to restore the New Covenant Passover since its abolishment in 325 AD. This is because the Bible testifies that only the Root of David can unseal the Bible after it was sealed. Therefore, the One who brings the Passover of the New Covenant is the Root of David, the Second Coming Christ.

Today, the World Mission Society Church of God keeps the Passover of the New Covenant according to the Bible. How is this possible, when the Passover of the New Covenant was removed from history?

It is because the Root of David already came and unsealed the Bible. He restored the Passover of the New Covenant, the Sabbath as well as the seven feasts in three times since 1948. His name is Christ Ahnsahnghong.

Christ Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who has come a second time, The Root of David. He has restored hope to God’s people to be able to walk the path towards salvation and the Kingdom of Heaven.
