Certificate of Appreciation from City of Kingston

The Mayor of Kingston City Council, Cr David Eden, prepared a plaque presentation ceremony for the World Mission Society Church of God volunteers, held at 7pm on July 24th 2017. The mayor deeply expressed his heartfelt thanks considering their ongoing efforts at the Council’s monthly meeting. Over the past two years, WMSCOG volunteers had held four major cleanups at beaches in the Kingston area.

Mayor David Eden congratulates WMSCOG volunteers who follow Heavenly Mother

Cr David Eden addressed councillors, council workers, and community attendees. “I would like to thank the World Mission Society Church of God volunteers who are here tonight. Since 2015, you have removed an outstanding total of 872kg of rubbish. Indeed, this is a significant contribution to the endeavours of the Kingston City Council, to keep our beaches clean and safe.”

“I would also like to thank, on behalf of council, Heavenly Mother, who teaches all the volunteers to participate in the cleanup campaigns and to make the world a more sustainable place,” he added.

In front of many witnesses, the mayor presented a plaque of appreciation to the World Mission Society Church of God.

After that, Hilda Dursun from the WMSCOG responded with gratitude, saying, “Give thanks to God for allowing us to receive this plaque. Our church was established in 1964 by Christ Ahnsahnghong and we practise the teachings of Mother, through being good Samaritans. Thank you for recognising our efforts.”

Joyful volunteers share Heavenly Mother’s love

The volunteers were truly overjoyed, and the hall resounded with the volunteers’ cheering, ‘We Love You’.  Lastly, they had photos taken with the mayor.

Rachel, a volunteer, said, “By the grace of Father and Mother, we attended the award ceremony. I am so glad to share this happy moment together with my spiritual family.”

The Kingston City Council is happy to partner with the World Mission Society Church of God. Accordingly, they will continue to work together. WMSCOG aims to make a bright and happy future, giving glory to, and delivering the love of, God Elohim, by exemplary devotional work.
